The trail climbs from the protected park area through changing vegetation toward the upper section of the volcano, with opportunities to observe the natural environment along the way.

Meet at the Cultour office in San Pedro before 6:00 a.m. Transportation, park entrance, and a local guide are included. The complete outing normally takes six to eight hours, making it best suited to active travelers prepared for a sustained ascent and descent. The minimum recommended age is 12.

Indian Nose Itinerary

1.  Arrive at the Cultour office in San Pedro by 5:50 a.m.

2.  Depart at 6:00 a.m. and travel to the entrance of the volcano park.

3.  Begin the hike at approximately 6:20 a.m.

4.  Climb for approximately three hours, with the pace adapted as needed.

5.  Spend up to approximately 90 minutes in the upper area before beginning the descent.

6.  Return to San Pedro normally between 12:30 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.

Who this experience is for

Booking and payment

The price is USD 39 per person. You may pay the full amount or reserve with a USD 17 deposit. The remaining balance is USD 22, paid in cash in Guatemalan quetzales on the activity date. At the approved rate of USD 1 = GTQ 7.50, the current cash balance is GTQ 165.

Cancellation, changes and weather

  • Your deposit is refundable when you cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled activity.
  • You may change the date free of charge with at least 24 hours’ notice, subject to availability.
  • If the activity is cancelled because of weather conditions, you may receive a refund or transfer your payment to another activity or shuttle.
  • If Cultour Atitlán Experts cancels the service, you will receive a 100% refund and one complimentary activity.
  • A no-show is treated as a used service and is non-refundable.
