Indian Nose Hiking Overview
The Indian Nose Sunrise Hike takes you to a panoramic viewpoint above Lake Atitlán before the first light reaches the water. From the ridge, you can look across the lake, the surrounding volcanic chain and, when conditions are clear, distant volcanic activity on the horizon.
Your morning begins with transportation from San Pedro, San Juan, San Pablo or San Marcos. After reaching Santa Clara, you will walk uphill for approximately 30 minutes with a guide, enjoy the sunrise and a cup of coffee at the viewpoint, and then return to your pickup area. It is a short, memorable adventure for solo travelers, couples and families who are comfortable with an early start and a steady uphill walk.

Indian Nose Itinerary
1. Be ready from 3:30 a.m. for pickup as close as practical to your accommodation.
2. Depart at approximately 4:00 a.m. and travel about 30 minutes to Santa Clara.
3. Walk uphill for approximately 30 minutes with your guide.
4. Watch the sunrise and spend approximately 30 minutes at the viewpoint.
5. Walk back down to the vehicle and return to your pickup area between approximately 7:45 a.m. and 8:00 a.m.

Booking and payment
The price is USD 23 per person. You may pay the full amount or reserve with a USD 9 deposit. The remaining balance is USD 14, paid in cash in Guatemalan quetzales on the activity date. At the approved rate of USD 1 = GTQ 7.50, the current cash balance is GTQ 105.
Cancellation, changes and weather
- Your deposit is refundable when you cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled activity.
- You may change the date free of charge with at least 24 hours’ notice, subject to availability.
- If the activity is cancelled because of weather conditions, you may receive a refund or transfer your payment to another activity or shuttle.
- If Cultour Atitlán Experts cancels the service, you will receive a 100% refund and one complimentary activity.
- A no-show is treated as a used service and is non-refundable.
