Travel from San Pedro to Lanquin with daytime and overnight shared-shuttle options.

This route connects San Pedro Lake Atitlán with Lanquin, the main base used by travelers visiting Semuc Champey. The long distance makes schedule choice important: there are two daytime services and one overnight option.

The general journey estimate is approximately ten hours, but actual timing changes with the selected service, connections, traffic, and mountain-road conditions. The 5:00 a.m. route travels through Antigua; the 7:00 a.m. option does not pass through Antigua; and the 8:00 p.m. route is an overnight service scheduled to arrive the following morning.

Central pickup may be available when road access permits. This route travels through Antigua, includes an approximate 30-minute pause and is scheduled to continue from Antigua around 8:30 a.m.

Meet at the station, confirmed by Cultour. This option does not pass through Antigua and uses the operating connection instructions provided for the travel date.

The overnight service uses a specific night meeting point that differs from the normal daytime station. Follow the map in your final confirmation.

1. Select the daytime or overnight service and confirm San Pedro as the origin.
2. Meet at the pickup point assigned to the selected schedule.
3. Follow the driver’s instructions during connections and brief food or bathroom stops.
4. Day services are scheduled to reach Lanquin in the evening; the night service arrives the following morning.
5. Continue from Lanquin to your accommodation or arrange separate transportation to Semuc Champey if needed.

Shared services normally use a comfortable mid-sized minivan with seating for up to 15 passengers. The standard allowance is two pieces of luggage per passenger.

Bicycles, surfboards and other special or oversized items require advance confirmation. An additional charge may apply depending on the item and available vehicle space

• Plan this as a long travel day. The 5:00 a.m. service may take longer than the general ten-hour estimate because it travels through Antigua.
• Published planning estimates are approximately 6:00 p.m. arrival for the daytime options and approximately 6:30 a.m. next-day arrival for the 8:00 p.m. service; these times are not guaranteed.
• The overnight service has a different San Pedro meeting point.
• Keep medicine, documents, valuables and a warm layer in a small bag that stays with you.

1. Choose the travel date, departure time, origin town and destination town.
2. Pay the full amount or the USD 9 deposit through the route checkout.
3. Complete the short passenger-details form with accommodation, luggage and WhatsApp information.
4. Cultour processes the request and normally sends final confirmation and shuttle details by email and WhatsApp within approximately one to two hours.
5. Reservations submitted after 8:00 p.m. receive the final WhatsApp confirmation early the following morning.

The listed price is USD 47 per person. You may pay the full amount or reserve with a USD 9 deposit. When only the deposit is paid, the remaining balance is USD 38 / GTQ 285, paid in cash on the travel day.

Cultour uses the approved conversion of USD 1 = GTQ 7.50 for the cash balances shown on these pages. If the full amount was paid online, no route balance is due unless an extra service or special luggage charge was confirmed separately.

•  Request booking changes at least 48 hours before departure. Changes depend on seat availability and the requested route.

•  Cancel at least 24 hours before departure to request a refund of the deposit.

•  Cancellations within 24 hours of departure are non-refundable.

•  A no-show is treated as a used service and is non-refundable.

•  If Cultour cancels the service, the customer receives a 100% refund and one complimentary activity.

•  If a required passenger minimum is not reached, Cultour will offer a refund or transfer the payment to another shuttle or activity.
