- Meet in Santiago Atitlán at 5:45 a.m. and depart at 6:00 a.m. for the trail access.
- Receive a safety briefing and begin the ascent through forest and mountain terrain.
- Climb for approximately four to five hours with regular hydration and rest stops.
- Pause in the upper area for 30-45 minutes to rest, eat and enjoy the views when conditions permit.
- Descend for approximately three to four hours and return to Santiago between about 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.
