Kaqasiiwaan is a practical option for travelers who want panoramic lake views without a long mountain hike. The uphill walk normally takes around 20 minutes, followed by time to enjoy the viewpoint and complete the guided experience.
The tour begins in San Juan La Laguna and includes a guide and entrance fee. With daily departures at 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., it can be combined easily with a cultural activity, coffee tour or additional time exploring San Juan.

Kaqasiiwaan Viewpoint Hike Itinerary
1. Meet your guide in San Juan at the confirmed point.
2. Receive a short orientation before beginning the walk.
3. Walk uphill for approximately 20 minutes toward the viewpoint.
4. Enjoy the panoramic Lake Atitlán views and time for photos.
5. Return with your guide and finish the complete experience in approximately 1.5 hours.

Booking and payment
The price is USD 23 per person. You may pay the full amount or reserve with a USD 9 deposit. The remaining balance is USD 14, paid in cash in Guatemalan quetzales on the activity date. At the approved rate of USD 1 = GTQ 7.50, the current cash balance is GTQ 105.
Cancellation, changes and weather
- Your deposit is refundable when you cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled activity.
- You may change the date free of charge with at least 24 hours’ notice, subject to availability.
- If the activity is cancelled because of weather conditions, you may receive a refund or transfer your payment to another activity or shuttle.
- If Cultour Atitlán Experts cancels the service, you will receive a 100% refund and one complimentary activity.
- A no-show is treated as a used service and is non-refundable.
